Step Your Shoe Game Up: Christian Louboutin 2011 Men’s Shoe Collection

Although he has been in the shoe game for over 25 years now, world renowned, luxury shoe designer, Christian Louboutin decided in 2009 that it was finally time to starting designing footwear for men. Louboutin’s trademark that has made him so coveted by female consumers has been his six inch heels, signature red sole and bold designs. However, for his men’s collections he has of course gone away with the sky high heels but his trademark red sole, artistry, innovation and bold designs still remain.

His Fall/Winter 2011 collection featured bold colors and animal prints which thus far has been uncharted territory for men’s fashion. However, one would think that Louboutin would scare away the average male consumer with such bold prints, color, and embellishments but I think the shoes still maintain a certain sense of masculinity and strength.

Fall/Winter 2011:

It appears that Louboutin has gone away from the prints but focused colors and the spike trend in his Spring 2011 collection. I like his approach. I feel for winter you almost need that extra something to make a statement during those cold, dreary months while summer should be more clean and simplistic.
